10. Operation of the Model Helicopter
a) Charging the Flight Battery
Theightbatteryinstalledinthehelicopterisonlychargedviathetransmitter.Thechargetimeisapprox.30to50
minutes,dependingonremainingightbatterychargeandtheconditionofthetransmitterbatteries.
The charging connection of the helicopter (1) is at the bot-
tom of the model, between the landing skids.
For charging, the remote control transmitter and the heli-
copter must be switched off.
The on/off switch of the helicopter (2) is located by the
chargingconnectionandmustbeinthe"OFF"position.
Put the helicopter onto the remote control transmitter so
that the charge connection of the model interlocks with
secure contact with the charge socket of the transmitter.
The landing skids of the helicopter then must rest in the
cut-outsofthetransmitter(alsoseegure1,item5).
When the contact is correct, a blue charging control LED
(3) will light up in the model helicopter to display that
charging is underway.
When the charge control LED goes out, charging is com-
pleted. The model helicopter must be removed from the
transmitter.
Attention!
Never leave the model helicopter unsupervised and disconnect it from the transmitter after charging is
complete.
Use only normal batteries for the transmitter. Do not use rechargeable batteries! The rechargeable battery
ofthehelicopterotherwisecannotbeorcanonlybeinsufcientlychargedduetothetoolowvoltageinthe
transmitter(batteries=1.5V/cell,rechargeablebatteries=1.2V/cell)!Theightdurationwillbeveryshort
in this case.
