10. Setting up the model helicopter
The helicopter battery can be charged using the USB cable provided.
Thechargingcableingure4iswoundup.Beforerstuse,removethecabletieandfullyunwindthe
charging cable.
a) Charging the helicopter battery
Connect the USB plug on the charging cable (1) to a USB
port on a computer/laptop or a USB charger plug.
The LED charging indicator on the USB plug (2) will turn
on to indicate that the USB charging cable is supplied with
the correct voltage.
Insert the reversible connector (3) on the charging cable to
the connection plug (4) on the helicopter battery.
Charging will start automatically and the charging indicator
on the USB plug (2) will turn off.
The red LED on the USB plug will turn on when the heli-
copter battery is fully charged.
Disconnect the helicopter battery from the charging cable
immediately after charging and unplug the USB plug on the
charging cable from the computer/laptop or charger plug.
Important!
Do not connect the USB cable to a USB hub
without its own power supply (e.g. a USB port
onakeyboard),asthecurrentisnotsufcient
to charge the battery.
The operating system will not detect any new hardware
when the charging cable is connected, as the USB port
is only used to charge the battery. Please note that most
USB ports on computers/laptop are only active when the
computer/laptop is switched on.
We therefore recommend that you only connect the charging cable to a computer/laptop that is switched on.
Important!
Only charge the helicopter battery using the USB charging cable provided. Never attempt to charge the
battery with a different/incompatible charger! Always remove the battery from the helicopter before charg-
ing it. Never charge the battery when it is still in the helicopter. Only charge the battery when you are able
to monitor the charging process.
