h) Starting the model helicopter
Switch on the remote control, and then turn on the model
helicopter.
Placeyourselfbehindthehelicopterandbrieypressthe
start,landingandmotorstopbutton(seegure1,position
7). Both rotors will start to rotate at an increasing speed
until the helicopter takes off.
Once the helicopter reaches an altitude of approx. 1 m,
the motor power decreases and a built-in height sensor is
used to keep the helicopter at a constant altitude.
You can then control the helicopter as described above.
i) Trimming the helicopter
If the helicopter keeps turning to one side, you can trim the controls accordingly.
Ifthehelicopterturnstotheright,pressandholdthelefttrimbutton(seegure1,position9)untilthemodelstops
turning to the right.
Ifthemodelturnstotheleft,trimthehelicopterusingtherighttrimbutton(seegure1,position2).

Practical tips
Attaching small weights to the nose or tail can help to balance the helicopter so that it doesn't move forwards or
backwards in hover mode.
For best results, however, the helicopter should be nose-heavy. This makes the helicopter move slowly forwards after
takeoff without any remote control commands.
