10. Pairing function
To ensure that the 2.4 GHz remote control can transmit a signal without interference, the remote control and receiver
must have the same digital code. The digital encoding (connection between the remote control and receiver) can be
conguredusingthepairingfunction.
The remote control and receiver are usually already paired when they leave the factory and can be used straight away.
The devices only need to be paired again if the remote control or receiver has been replaced or to correct a malfunc-
tion.
Proceed as follows:
• Switch the vehicle off.
• Switchontheremotecontrol.TheLEDindicator(4)willashrapidly.
• SwitchonthevehiclewhentheLEDindicatorontheremotecontrolisstillashing.
IftheLEDindicatorstopsashing,switchofftheremotecontrolandthenswitchitbackon.Thenswitchon
the vehicle.
• The LED indicator on the remote control will turn off and the LED in the vehicle will stay constant. The receiver
is now paired with the remote control. Check that the vehicle responds correctly to the remote control functions.
11. Cleaning and maintenance
The vehicle and remote control must be switched off before cleaning or maintenance.
Afteryouhavenishedusingthevehicle,removealldustanddirt(e.g.usingacleanlong-hairedbrush).Compressed
air aerosols can also help to remove dirt.
Do not use cleaning sprays or conventional household cleaning chemicals. These may damage the electronic compo-
nents and discolour the plastic parts or chassis.
Never wash the vehicle with a garden hose or a high-pressure cleaner.
Useasoft,slightlydampclothtowipethechassis.Donotrubtoormly,asthismayresultinscratchmarks.
Check the vehicle for any signs of damage before and after each use. If there are any signs of damage,
discontinue use immediately.
