16. Calibration of the Position Sensors
If the quadrocopter does not hover stably in place, but keeps ying in one direction, this can be xed with the trim. If
the trim must be adjusted very far, you may need to recalibrate the position sensors in the model.
Proceed as follows:
First switch on the transmitter and then the quadrocopter.
In this case, place the quadrocopter ready to start onto a
level, horizontally aligned surface.
Then move the two control levers of the transmitter to the
respective lower left corners and hold the two control le-
vers in this position.
After a few seconds, the red and green LEDs of the quad-
rocopter ash several times to display successful calibra-
tion of the position sensors.
Then the LEDs remain lit again.
Perform a test ight to check if the quadrocopter still
strongly tends to y into a specic direction. Very small
trends can be compensated via the trim.
