14. Return Function
The quadrocopter has a return function where it ies backwards independently. This is the opposite direction from
that in which it was aligned when switching on (see gure 18, ill. A). As in headless mode, it is not relevant in which
direction the front of the quadrocopter is currently pointing (see gure 18, ill. B).
Important!
The return function should only be activated when the quadrocopter has moved too far away from the pilot
in the previously specied forward direction and the pilot forms one line with the quadrocopter in the forward
direction. If the quadrocopter is offset to the side, it may y past the pilot to the side when the return function
is activated, and thus y away again (see gure 18, ill. C).

To activate the return function, briey push the button for
the return function (also see gure 1, item 7). To indicate
that the return function is activated, the transmitter will
continually issue signals in a rhythm of 2 and the red and
green LEDs in the quadrocopter will ash in a rhythm of 3.
The quadrocopter will now independently y contrary to
the previously specied forward direction.
When the quadrocopter has own backwards far enough,
push the control lever for the nod and roll functions (also
see gure 1, item 4) in any direction to terminate the return
function automatically.
The signals of the transmitter will go out and the LEDs in
the quadrocopter will remain lit.
