10. Operation of the Model Helicopter
a) Charging the Flight Battery
The flight battery in the helicopter can be recharged via the transmitter or the included USB cable.
The charge time is approx. 30 to 40 minutes, depending on remaining flight battery charge.
Charging via transmitter:
Ensure that remote control and helicopter are switched
off (also see section “Switching on the Helicopter”).
The charge cable chute is on the rear of the holding
grip for the left hand (also see figure 1, item 9).
Push the cover of the charge cable chute (1) open
downwards and remove the charge cable (2).
Connect the plug connector (3), which is protected
against polarity reversal, to the charging socket (4) of
the helicopter. The charging socket is at the bottom of
the helicopter right next to the function switch (5).
Then switch on the transmitter. The operating control
display LED (also see figure 1, item 2) starts to flash
and the charging control LED (also see figure 1, item
11) is lit permanently.
When the charge control LED goes out, charging is
completed. The charge cable can be disconnected from
the helicopter and stowed in the transmitter again.
If you want to charge the helicopter’s rechargeable battery through the transmitter, the transmitter must not
hold any rechargeable NiMH or NiCd batteries. The rechargeable battery of the helicopter cannot be
charged due to the too low voltage in the transmitter (batteries = 1.5 V/cell, rechargeable batteries = 1.2 V/
cell)!
