 • Ifyouhavereasontoassumethatsafeoperationisnolongerpossible,disconnectthechargerimmedi-
ately and secure it against inadvertent operation. Disconnect the charger from the plug-in mains adapter.
It can be assumed that operation without danger is no longer possible if the charger has any visible dam-
age,thechargernolongerworks,afterextendedstorageunderunsuitableconditionsorafterdifcult
transport conditions.
d) Before Commissioning
 • Alwaysswitchonthetransmitterrstandthenconnecttheightbatterytotheracecopter.Thisistheonly
way for an attunement function to take place between transmitter and receiver (digital binding), so that
your model will react reliably to the control commands of your transmitter.
 • Checkthefunctionalreliabilityofyourmodelandoftheremotecontrolsystem.Watchoutforanyvisible
damage such as defective plug connections or damaged cables.
 • Allmovingpartsofthemodelmustrunsmoothlybutshouldnothaveanyplayintheirbearings.
 • Theightbatteryrequiredforoperationmustbechargedbeforeoperation.
 • Ensurethatthebatteriesinthetransmitterhaveasufcientremainingcapacity(transmitterindication).If
the batteries are empty, always replace the complete set, never individual cells only.
e) During Operation
 • Donottakeanyriskswhenoperatingtheproduct!Yourownsafetyandthatofyourenvironmentdepends
completely on your responsible use of the model.
Improper operation can cause serious damage to people and property! Therefore make sure to keep a
sufcientlysafedistancefrompersons,animalsorobjectsduringoperation.Nevertrytograbtheying
model with your hand!
 • Whenyouareoperatingthemodel,alwaysmakesurethatnopartsofyourbody,otherpeopleorobjects
come within the dangerous range of the propellers.
 • Flyyourmodelonlyifyourabilitytorespondisunrestricted.Theinuenceoftiredness,alcoholormedica-
tion can cause incorrect responses.
 • Motors,motorregulatorandightbatterycanheatduringoperation.Forthisreason,waitfor10to15
minutesbeforerechargingorreplacingtheightbatteryortakingoffagainwithasecond,already-charged
ightbattery.
 • Neverswitchofftheremotecontrol(transmitter)whilethemodelisinuse.Afterlanding,alwaysdisconnect
theightbatteryfromtheracecopterbeforeswitchingofftheremotecontrol.
 • Neverswitchofftheremotecontrolwhiletheracecopterisstillinoperation.
 • Neverexposeyourmodelortheremotecontroltodirectsunlightorexcessiveheatforanextendedperiod
of time.
