b) Motor Brake (2)
Theightcontrollerhasanintegratedmotorbrake.This"EMKbrake"stops(brakes)themotorimmediatelyafterthe
control signal "Motor off".
Themotorwillthennolongerrunonduetotheairowingthroughthepropellerinight,andthefoldingpropellermay
fold in. This reduces air resistance in pure gliding.
The motor brake can be switched on and off as follows:
• Switchonthetransmitteronandthenputthethrottleleverformotorcontroltothefullthrottleposition.
• Thenconnecttheightbatterytotheightcontrolleragain.

• Afterthisprogrammeitem,theprogrammeitem"Motorbrake"willfollow.Thisissignalledbythesoundsequence
"DiDiDi" repeated four times (2). Now pull the control lever of the transmitter to the rear position (motor off) while this
sound sequence is played.
• Theightcontrollersignalsthatthemotorbrakeisactivatedordeactivated,dependingontheprevioussetting,by
two sounds.

the motor brake is activated, another sound sounds in another pitch. When the motor brake is deactivated, two more
sounds sound in another pitch.
c) Rechargeable Battery Type (3 + 4)
Independently of the setting of the battery type (NiCd/NiMH or LiPo), the connected number of cells is determined
automatically. When programming "LiPo", the cell number of the respective rechargeable battery recognised (assum-
ingtherechargeablebatteryisfullycharged)issignalledafterconnectionoftherechargeablebatterytotheight
controller (e.g. three sounds for a 3-cell LiPo rechargeable battery). When the rechargeable battery type "NiMH/NiCd"
is programmed, the cell number will not be signalled.
Toavoidharmfuldeepdischargesofthebattery,themotor'soutputisreducedmatchingthecellnumberandbattery
time or the motor switched off in time by a programmed undervoltage recognition (characteristic programmable, see
sub-chapter "k) Deactivation Behaviour at Undervoltage").
A NiMH-/NiCd rechargeable battery can be programmed when you hear four reducing sound sequences followed by
a high-short sound (3). If you want to programme a LiPo rechargeable battery, listen for four short, lower sounds (4).
d) Undervoltage Recognition (5 + 6 + 7)
Inthismenuitem,youcanspecicallydeneundervoltagerecognition(dependingontheselectedbatterytype).For
NiMH/NiCd, we recommend 0.8 V/cell, for LiPo 3.2 V/cell.
You have the following setting options:
1 = 2.8 V/cell (50% or approx. 0.6V/cell at NiMH/NiCd) = long, higher sound (5)
2 = 3.0 V/cell (60% or approx. 0.75V/cell at NiMH/NiCd) = short double sound (6)
3 = 3.2 V/cell (65% or approx. 0.8 V/cell at NiMH/NiCd) = double sounds sequence "DiDiDi" (7)
