11. Fine Tuning of the Model Helicopter
If the nod or roll trim must be adjusted a lot for the helicopter to hover stably, you can also mechanically adjust the
swash plate linkage. For this, it is sensible to remove the canopy.
Before you adjust the rods, check if the basic trim may be set incorrectly. For more information, see chapter 14 c).

Lift the canopy (1) off of the support bolts (2) on the left and the
right and pull the canopy off forwards.
If the swash plate is slightly askew so that the helicopter keeps
yingin onedirection,disconnecttheballsockets(3) ofthe
linkage rods (4) from the swash plate arms (5) and twist them
to set the required rod length.
Unhooking and hooking in the ball sockets is easiest when
using small tweezers or thin long nose pliers. Work with the
required care to avoid damage to the swash plate linkage or
breaking off parts.

works at the mechanics.
Set the linkage rods so that the model helicopter hovers stably
without any large adjustments of the nod and roll trim and the
basic trim out of the centre position being required.
