j) Pitch/Tail Mixer „REVO MIX“
The larger the angle of attack of the rotor blades, the larger the counter-torque that acts on the fuselage. In practice,
this means that any change to the pitch control stick will cause a rotary movement of the fuselage around the vertical
axis (main rotor shaft).
For modern model helicopters such as the „HCP80 3D“, however, high-quality gyro systems that control this effect
independentlyandthusrenderthepitch/tailmixersuperuousareinstalled.Ifthemixerisstillactivated,theremaybe
malfunctions. For this reason, check the mixer for whether all values are set to „0“.
Proceed as follows to check the pitch/tail mixer:
• Call the function settings menu.
• Select the menu item „REVO MIX“ with the buttons „UP“ or
„DOWN“.
• Activate the menu item with the button „SELECT“.
Thedisplayshowsthesettingvaluesfortheightconditions
„NOR“ and „IDLE“. All displayed setting values should be set
to „0“.
• Push the button „SELECT“ to call specic setting values
when required.
• Pushing the buttons „INC (+)“ or „DEC (-)“ permits changing
the mixing value or setting the value to „0“.
• The setting is saved automatically.
• Push the button „CLEAR“ to get back into the overview of the
function setting menu.
