16. Practical Flight Advice for the First Start
• Firststartthetransmitter,thenthemodelhelicopter.
• SetthegyrosensitivityinAVCSmodeto80%.
• Thepitchcontroller(seegure1,item2)shouldbesettotheveryright,to100%.
• Thetoggleswitchfortheswashplatepathlimitation(alsoseegure1,item3)mustbeinthefrontpositionsothat
the swash plate does not perform too-large control movements and the model can be controlled more sensitively.
• Thetoggleswitchforthemotorofffunction(alsoseegure1,item17)mustbeinthefrontposition„0“fortherotors
to start up.
• Therotorbladesofthemainandtailrotorshouldbealignedwitheachotherby180°sothatthereisnoimbalance
at increase of the rotating speed that may throw over the helicopter in extremes.
• Placeyourselfexactlybehindyourhelicopter.Aslongasyoucanseeyourmodelfrombehind,itwillreacttothe
controlcommands:right,left,forward,backwardexactlyasyouseeit.Whereas,ifthecockpitofthemodelpoints
towards you, it moves exactly the opposite way from your steering commands at the transmitter from your view.
• Slowlypushthecontrolstickforthepitchfunctionforwardandobservepreciselyhowyourhelicopterbehaves.
• Whenthemodelhelicopterhastakenoff,trylettingithoverinplacewithtargetedcontrolmovements.
• Whenthehelicopterisyingataheightofmorethan80cm,theooreffect(rotordownwindgoestotheground)is
no longer present and the model will hover more stably.
• Indangersituations,donotmovebackthecontrolstickforthepitchfunctiontooquickly,becausethehelicopterwill
otherwise touch down very hard and be damaged.
Attention!
If the rotors hit any objects and are blocked or if the model falls over when standing, slide the control stick
for the pitch function into the bottom-most position at once so that the drive motor is no longer supplied with
power
