c) Setting the Operating Mode and Gyro Sensitivity
The gyro can be operated in normal mode or AVCS mode (= „Angular Vector Control System“).
In normal mode, correction of the subsequent servo is only performed as long as the model‘s rotary motion is also
recognised by the gyro.
In the AVCS mode („Head Lock“-Modus), the subsequent servo is only corrected until the original position (angle) of
the gyro is reached again.
The operating mode and gyro sensitivity can be set and can be adjusted at the transmitter with the dial switch for the
gyrosensitivity(alsoseegure1,item18).
Whenthedialswitchisinthemiddleposition,thesettingcorrespondstoagyrosensitivityof0%.Thetailservodoes
not react to movements of the model helicopter, but only to the control commands of the transmitter.
Normal mode:
Whenthedialswitch(18)isturnedtothe righttothe
stop, this setting corresponds to a gyro sensitivity of
100%inthenormalmode.
This means that as long as the gyro recognises a mo-
vement of the tail boom, it will try to counter this rota-
ting movement with an automatically generated control
impulse.
AVCS-mode:
Whenthedialswitch(18)isturnedtothelefttothestop,

the AVCS mode.
This means that if the gyro has recognised a movement
of the tail boom, it will activate the tail servo until the
helicopter‘s tail is back in the original position.
