d) Connecting the Flight Battery
Move the control stick for the pitch and tail functions
(alsoseegure1,item14)tothebottompositionand
switch on the transmitter.
Observe the correct position of the toggle switch for the
motorofffunction(alsoseegure1,item17).Itmustbe
in the rear position „1“ (control stick points to the body)
so that the drive motor of the helicopter cannot start up.
Thetoggleswitchforthe3D-setting(alsoseegure1,
item 4) must be in the front position „0“ for this.
ThenconnecttheT-plugconnectoroftheghtcontroller
(1) that is protected against polarity reversal to the T-
plugconnectoroftheightbattery(2).
Right after the rechargeable battery connection, the lin-
kage levers of the three swash plate servos (3) move
intothepositionspeciedbythetransmitterandthegyro
performs an internal reconciliation. During this time, the
LEDofthegyro(4)willash.
Important!
Whilethegyroperformsitsreconciliation,the
helicopter must not be turned or moved.
Whenthereconciliationiscompleted,thelinkagerodof
thetailservo(5)willalsorunintothespeciedposition
(right angle to the linkage rod) and depending on opera-
ting mode of the gyro, the LED at the gyro (4) goes out
or remains lit permanently.
When the rechargeable battery is connected to the
model helicopter, the swash plate must be horizontally
aligned(seemiddleimagein gure13)andmustnot
be tilted.
If the swash plate is slightly tilted, use the trim or twist
the linkage rods to adjust the swash plate precisely.
For further information on this, see the following chap-
ters „Trimming the Model Helicopter“ and „Fine-Tuning
the Model Helicopter“.
