.0 Principles of Operation Overview : This hose reel system allows the efficient storage of 50’ or 75’ of 1-1/2” ID hose and the easy manual deployment/retrieval of the hose. It is designed for use with AFFF and seawater in fire fighting applications. 7.1 Hose Connection Lay entire hose length out in front of reel with female end facing reel. Carefully thread female hose coupling onto male gooseneck, making sure not to cross thread. Next, tighten hose coupling with wrench.

Difficult to wind or rewind hose. - Leakage at inlet bearing. - The drum wobbles. - Guide rollers are binding. - The hand crank tensioner is fully or partially engaged. Release hand crank tensioner. Insufficient grease in bearing. Add grease via grease fittings. O-ring has failed. Replace O-ring. The spindle separated from the bearing.
