Operating Instructions
Power ON/OFF
Turn the meter ON by holding down the POWER button for approximately
2 seconds. To turn the meter OFF, press and hold the POWER button until
the 3 second shutdown timer begins as indicated by 3OFF, 2OFF and
1OFF. Once the countdown is complete, the meter will power OFF.
Note: If the POWER button is released before the countdown is
completed, the meter will resume normal operation.
Backlight
After powering the meter ON, the LCD Backlight will turn on automatically.
In order to preserve battery power, the LCD will turn off after
approximately 15 seconds. To turn the screen back on, press the
POWER button.
Establishing Bluetooth
®
Connection
1. In order to establish Bluetooth
®
connection, the REED Smart Series
App must be installed on your mobile device.
2. When the App is open and the meter is powered on, the meter will
automatically attempt to establish connection with the App. Until the
connection is established, the Bluetooth
®
status indicator light will
flash blue
3. When connection is successful the Bluetooth
®
status indicator
remains blue and the the current readings are automatically
displayed in the App.
REED Smart Series meters feature Bluetooth
®
5.0 connectivity which
does not require meters to be paired with the device.
If the App is open and the meter is powered on, a connection will
automatically be established.

Sélection de la fréquence de pondération & le temps
de réponse
1. Lorsque l’appareil de mesure est sous tension, appuyez sur le
bouton d’alimentation et maintenez-le enfoncé jusqu’à ce que SET1
apparaisse, indiquant que l’appareil de mesure est en mode de
sélection de pondération de fréquence.
2. Le paramètre par défaut sera dBA. Pour basculer entre dBA et dBC,
appuyez sur le bouton d’alimentation. (Sélectionnez la pondération
"A" pour un niveau de bruit général, ou la pondération "C" pour
mesurer un bruit d'un niveau élevé. La pondération "C" est une
pondération standard des fréquences audibles couramment utilisées
pour la mesure du niveau de pression sonore de crête. Si le niveau
pondéré "C" est beaucoup plus élevé que le niveau pondéré "A", il y
aura alors une grande quantité de bruit à basse fréquence.)
3. Appuyez longuement sur le bouton d’alimentation pour confirmer
votre sélection et passez à SET 2, qui permet à l’utilisateur de sélec-
tionner le temps de réponse souhaité.
4. Appuyez sur le bouton d’alimentation pour sélectionner FAST ou
SLOW. (Si la source sonore est composée de rafales courtes, réglez
la réponse sur "FAST" (125 ms). Pour mesurer le niveau sonore
moyen, sélectionnez "SLOW" (1 seconde).)
5. Appuyez sur le bouton d’alimentation et maintenez-le enfoncé pour
confirmer vot e selection et relâchez-le une fois que le compte à
rebours de 3 secondes commence à reprendre le
fonctionnement normal.
Remarque: Si "OL" apparaît sur l’écran ACL, la mesure du son est
actuellement hors de portée.
