Muffler The muffler is designed to give the lowest possible noise level and to direct the engine’s exhaust fumes away from the operator.
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS S Never touch the spark plug or plug cord while the engine is in operation. Doing so may result in being subjected to an electical shock. S Never touch the muffler, spark plug, other metallic parts of the engine or engine cover while the engine is in operation or immediately after shutting down the engine. These metallic parts and engine cover reach high temperatures during operation and doing so could result in serious burns. S Be careful, particularly if left hand operation is applied.

DESCRIPTION Safety equipment The following equipment on the blower is designed for protecting personnel and materials. These components should receive special attention whenever you operate, inspect and service the blower. Other equipment Throttle trigger S The speed and the output of the engine are regulated by the throttle trigger (C). Stop switch S The stop switch (A) is used to stop the engine.
DESCRIPTION Ground wire S The ground wire (G) reduces static build--up during operation in dry conditions. G S The nozzles (L) have a bayonet mount for connection to the blower tube. Air is channeled through the blower tube to the nozzles, where the air discharge velocity increases and the air stream discharge pattern is formed to provide best performance.
DESCRIPTION Choke S The choke (Q) is located below the air filter cover and should be used every time the engine is cold--started. Q Adjusting the carburetor NOT FOR ALL MODELS S There are three adjusting screws (R) for adjusting the carburetor: S Low speed jet S High speed jet S Adjustment screw for idling S Adjusting the carburetor involves adapting the engine to local operating conditions, e.g. climate, altitude, gasoline and type of two--stroke engine oil used.
FUEL HANDLING Fuel WARNING: Gasoline is very flammable. Avoid smoking or bringing any flame or sparks near fuel. Make sure to stop the engine and allow it cool before refueling the unit. Select outdoor bare ground for fueling and move at least 10 feet (3 meters) away from the fueling point before starting the engine. Gasoline requirements S NOTE: If the octane rating of the mid-grade gasoline in your area is lower than 89 octane use premium unleaded gasoline.
FUEL HANDLING S If the oil is registered with JASO, the JASO Logo with FD and registration number will be displayed on the container. The highest JASO rating is “FD”, which equals the ISO--L--EGD rating. Lower ratings are “FC”, “FB”, and “FA”. How to mix fuel S Engine problems due to inadequate lubrication caused by failure to use ISO-L--EGD certified and JASO FD registered oil such as RedMax air--cooled “MaxLife” synthetic blend premium 2--stroke oil WILL VOID THE REDMAX TWO-STROKE ENGINE WARRANTY.
FUEL HANDLING Fueling your unit 1. Untwist and remove the fuel cap. Rest the cap on a clean surface. 2. Put fuel into the fuel tank to 80% of the full capacity. 3. Fasten the fuel cap securely and wipe up any fuel spillage around the unit. WARNING: Select flat and bare ground for fueling. Move at least 10 feet (3 meters) away from the fueling point before starting the engine. Stop the engine before refueling the unit. At that time, be sure to sufficiently agitate the mixed gasoline in the container.
STARTING AND STOPPING Starting and stopping WARNING: Never start the blower if the inlet cover is not closed, is damaged or cannot be closed (except if the vacuum tube is fitted). Warm engine With a warm engine, squeeze and hold the throttle trigger. Move choke to ½ position. Pull starter rope sharply while squeezing throttle trigger until engine runs. Move the choke to the OFF CHOKE (opened) position. Cold engine Primer bulb: Press the primer bulb 10 times until fuel begins to fill the bulb.
USING THE BLOWER To blow away debris on the ground Fitting the blower tube and nozzle on the blower WARNING: When fitting the blower tube and nozzle, the engine must be switched off. The blower tube (T) has a pegged slot mounting system to the unit. To install or remove the blower tube, the tube clamp bolt must be removed. Align slot in the blower air outlet with the raised rib on the tube and insert tube until the holes in the tube and housing align. Re--insert the tube clamp bolt and tighten.
USING THE BLOWER WARNING: Never start the blower if the inlet cover is not closed, is damaged or cannot be closed (except if the vacuum tube is fitted). WARNING: Do not operate the blower while standing on a ladder or a stand. Start the blower as described in the Starting and Stopping section. Work according to the following instructions: 1. Never blow air toward fixed objects such as walls, large rocks, automobiles and fences. 2.
USING THE BLOWER Vacuuming Before vacuuming, put on the required safety equipment. WARNING: When working with the blower, wear the required personal safety equipment: 1. Hearing protection. 2. Eye protection. 3. Protective gloves. 4. Face mask in dusty environments. WARNING: Always check that the collection bag is intact and the zipper is closed before starting the blower. Never use a damaged bag. There is risk of injury due to flying debris. Be careful, particularly if left hand operation is applied.
MAINTENANCE Maintenance Safety The owner is responsible for the performance of all required maintenance as defined in the operator’s manual. Disconnect the spark plug before performing maintenance, except carburetor adjustments. WARNING: Improper maintenance could result in serious engine damage or in serious injury. Z Carburetor Your product has been designed and manufactured to specifications that reduce harmful emissions. After the engine has used 8--10 tanks of fuel, the engine will be run--in.
MAINTENANCE AA BB CC DD WARNING: Mufflers fitted with catalytic converters get very hot during use and remain so for some time after stopping. This also applies at idle speed. MAINTENANCE Spark plug Weekly maintenance The spark plug condition is influenced by: S Incorrect carburetor adjustment. S An incorrect fuel mixture (too much or incorrect type of oil). S Poor quality gasoline and/or oil S A dirty air filter. These factors cause deposits on the spark plug electrodes, which may result in operating problems and starting difficulties.

DESCRIPTION G Couvercle d’admission d’air S Un couvercle d’arrivée d’air (H) est situé sur le côté du boîtier du ventilateur. L’ouverture du couvercle permet d’accéder à la ventilateur pour nettoyage et inspection. Si le accessoire d’aspiration en option est utilisé, il doit être fixé le tubes d’aspiration sur l’ouverture du couvercle d’arrivée d’air.
DESCRIPTION Réglage du carburateur NE CONCERNE PAS TOUS LES MODÈLES P O Filtre à air S Le filtre à air (P) se compose d’une couche fibreuse filtrante située dans une structure élastique. Le filtre à air doit être nettoyé régulièrement (voir la section Entretien), sinon le souffleur consomme du carburant inutilement, la puissance diminue et il y a des risques d’encrassement de la bougie.
MANIPULATION DU CARBURANT Carburant AVERTISSEMENT: L’essence est un produit hautement inflammable. S’abstenir de fumer et ne tolérer aucun flammeou source d’étincelles à proximité de l’endroit oùest entreposée l’essence. Arrêter le moteur puisle laisser refroidir un peu avant de remplir leréservoir. Remplir le réservoir à l’extérieur sur unesurface nue et éloigner le bidon d’essence d’aumoins 3 mètres avant de mettre le moteur de latronçonneuse en marche.
MANIPULATION DU CARBURANT Types d’huiles requises S N’utilisez que du RedMax “Max Life”, du mélange synthétique super et huile moteur à deux temps refroidi à l’air, ou de l’huile certifiée selon la norme ISO--L--EGD (ISO\CD 1378) ET une certifiée JASO--FD. Le RedMax “Max Life” refroidi à l’air, le mélange synthétique super et huile moteur à deux temps refroidi à l’air, et l’huile ISO--L-EGD (ISO\CD 1378) ET JASO--FD sont entièrement compatibles avec de l’essence contenant 10% d’éthanol.
MANIPULATION DU CARBURANT 1. Mesurez les volumes d’essence et d’huile à mélanger. 2. Verser un peu d’essence dans un récipient à carburant propre. 3 Verser ensuite toute l’huile, puis bien remuer le tout. 4. Verser enfin le reste de l’essence, puis bien mélanger l’ensemble pendant une minute environ. Etant donné que certains types d’huiles sont plus fluides que d’autres en fonction de leur composition, un brassage énergique est nécessaire afin de garantir une bonne marche du moteur pendant longtemps.
DÉMARRAGE ET ARRÊT Démarrage et arrêt AVERTISSEMENT! Le souffleur ne doit jamais être démarré si le couvercle d’admission d’air n’est pas fermé, est endommagé ou s’il n’est pas possible de le fermer. Ceci ne s’applique quand les tubes d’aspiration soyez branchée. Moteur froid Pompe à carburant: Appuyer sur la poche en caoutchouc de la pompe à carburant 10 fois jusqu’à ce que le carburant commence à remplir la poche. Il n’est pas nécessaire de remplir la poche complètement.
UTILISATION Enlever les salissures sur le sol Montage du tube souffleur et de l’embouts AVERTISSEMENT! Le moteur doit être arrêté et le bouton d’arrêt en position arrêt lors du montage du tube et de l’embout. Le tube souffleur (T) est doté d’un système de montage à fente et à taquet de fixation. Pour installer ou retirer le tube souffleur , retirez le boulon de fixation du tube.
UTILISATION AVERTISSEMENT! Ne jamais diriger le flux d’air vers des personnes ou des animaux. A grande vitesse, l’air peut transporter des particules pouvant provoquer des blessures graves. En particulier si l’appareil a été utilisé au préalable pour la collecte. Faites attention, particulièrement si vous travaillez de la main gauche. Éviter tout contact direct du corps sur le couvercle d’admission d’air.
UTILISATION 5. Enfoncer les tubes d’aspiration dans la grande ouverture du souffleur et aligner les languettes sur les fentes du tube. Tourner le tube jusqu’au verrouillage de la monture à baïonnette (les symboles de verrouillage doivent être alignés). Aspiration Mettre l’équipement de protection indiqué ci--dessous avant de démarrer l’aspiration. AVERTISSEMENT! Pendant les travaux, utiliser l’équipement de protection approprié: 1. ENTRETIEN Bougie L’état de la bougie dépend de: S L’exactitude du réglage du carburateur. S Mauvais mélange de l’huile dans le carburant (trop d’huile ou huile inappropriée). S Une mauvaise qualité de carburant et d’huile. S La propreté du filtre à air. Ces facteurs peuvent concourir à l’apparition de calamine sur les électrodes, ce qui à son tour entraîne un mauvais fonctionnement du moteur et des démarrages difficiles.

G Tapa de entrada de aire S Hay una tapa de entrada de aire (H) en el lateral del cubierta del ventilador. Al abrir esta tapa, se puede acceder al ventilador para limpiarlo y inspeccionarlo. Si se utiliza la accesorio opcional de aspirador, se deberá fijar el tubos aspirador en la abertura de la tapa de entrada de aire.

El filtro debe limpiarse a intervalos regulares (vea la sección Mantenimiento); de lo contrario, el consumo de combustible es excesivo, se reduce la potencia y hay riesgo de que se aceite la bujía.
MANIPULACION DEL COMBUSTIBLE Combustible ADVERTENCIA! La gasolina es muy inflamable. Evite fumar o producir cualquier llama o chispa cerca del combustible. Asegúrese de detener el motor y dejar que se enfríe antes de repostar la unidad. Seleccione un terreno al aire libre para el reabastecimiento y aleje la unidad una distancia de por lo menos 3 metros (10 pies) del punto de abastecimiento antes de poner en marcha el motor.
MANIPULACION DEL COMBUSTIBLE estándares ISO--L--EGD (ISO/CD 1378) AND y que sea JASO--FD registrado son totalmente compatibles con gasolinas que contengan etanol al 10%.
MANIPULACION DEL COMBUSTIBLE Abastecimiento de la unidad 1. Desenrosque y retire la tapa del combustible. Coloque la tapa sobre un lugar sin polvo. 2. Coloque el combustible dentro del tanque a un 80% de la capacidad total. 3. Fije en forma segura la tapa del combustible y limpie cualquier derramamiento de combustible que se encuentre al rededor de la unidad. ADVERTENCIA! Seleccione un terreno al descubierto para el reabastecimiento.
ARRANQUE Y PARADA Arranque y parada ¡ADVERTENCIA! No ponga en marcha el soplador si la tapa de entrada de aire está abierta, dañada, o no puede cerrarse. Esta instrucción no tiene validez si hay instalado un tubo aspirador. Motor frio Bomba de combustible: Presione 10 veces la burbuja de goma de la bomba de combustible hasta que comience a llenarse de combustible. No es necesario llenarla totalmente.
MANEJO Limpieza de suelos soplando Montaje del tubo de soplador y la boquilla ¡ADVERTENCIA! El montaje del tubo y la boquilla debe hacerse con el motor parado. El tubo de soplador (K) dispone de un sistema de ranura de bloqueo para montarlo en el aparato. Para instalar o desinstalar el tubo de soplador, remueva el perno de bloqueo del tubo.
