Operation
Correct posture
Never work on unstable ground!
Never work while standing on a ladder!
Use only when weather conditions are favourable!
Stand with both legs rmly on the ground.
• Always hold the power tool with both hands!
Look over the working area and remove any obstructions.
Switch the pole saw on before starting the cut.
Apply a uniform pressure to the unit without excessive force.
After use
Always switch the motor off before you put the power tool down!
When the On/Off switch is released, the saw chain continues
running briefly.
Stop the engine.
Wait until all rotating parts have come to a standstill.
Remove the battery.
Place sheath on cutting mechanism.
Leave power tool to cool down.
Basic working technique
Operate the saw at a maximum angle of 60 degrees (see Figure 9).
Never cut a branch directly aboutthe head!
Start at the bottom of the trunk and work upwards.
To cut thick branches saw in 2 steps:
1. Saw upwards into the branch 1/3 of the branch diameter 1.
2. A little further up the branch saw through the branch from
top to bottom 2.
Saw longer branches piece by piece.
When limbing trunks lying at on theground, rst always saw off
the branchespointing upwards. Do not cut throughsupporting
branches until the trunk hasbeen sawn into lengths.
