Suitable for: MITSUBISHI PAJERO Kit Part No: TPWKIT-009 Step 1 Important Always refer to the vehicle’s Workshop Manual when removing vehicle components. • Note down all clock and radio settings. • In the engine bay, disconnect the negative battery terminal (1). 1 Step 2 • At the rear of the vehicle, remove the luggage compartment floor carpet (1). 1 Step 3 Where a 3rd row of seats are fitted. 1 • Remove the LHS and RHS rear folding seat pivot covers (1).
Suitable for: MITSUBISHI PAJERO Kit Part No: TPWKIT-009 Step 4 • Fold the 2nd row seats (1) forward and lock in position. 1 Step 5 • Release the two fasteners (1). • Fold forward the rear section of the luggage compartment (2). 2 1 Step 6 • Remove the luggage compartment rear trim (1) by releasing the three fasteners (2).
Suitable for: MITSUBISHI PAJERO Kit Part No: TPWKIT-009 Step 7 • Remove the RHS luggage compartment small floor carpet (1) by releasing the fastener and clip (2). 1 2 Step 8 • Release the seat belt bolts (1) on the RHS of the luggage compartment area. 1 1 Step 9 Note: If the vehicle is fitted with a panel shelf (1), remove caps and remove both bolts (2). 5 5 • Dislodge the drivers side rear upper trim (3) by pulling towards the center of the vehicle.
Suitable for: MITSUBISHI PAJERO Kit Part No: TPWKIT-009 Step 10 • Remove the drivers side rear scuff plate (1). 1 Step 11 • Dislodge the drivers side luggage compartment lower side trim (1) by releasing the fasteners (2). 2 2 Important Do not completely remove the side luggage compartment lower side trim (1). 1 2 2 Step 12 • From behind the drivers side luggage compartment lower trim, disconnect the accessory socket connector (1).
Suitable for: MITSUBISHI PAJERO Kit Part No: TPWKIT-009 Step 13 • Locate the 9-way connector (1). • Disconnect the Trailer Wiring Harness (2). • Patch the Interface Harness (3) into the vehicle harness and Trailer Wiring Harness (2). • Cover the Trailer Wiring Harness connector (4) with the supplied foam tape. • Use the supplied cable ties to secure the harness. 1 3 1 4 2 Step 14 • Remove the LHS Front scuff plate (1). 1 Step 15 • Remove the LHS front kick panel clip (1).
Suitable for: MITSUBISHI PAJERO Kit Part No: TPWKIT-009 Step 16 • Remove the glove box compartment under tray (1). • Release the glove box compartment damper (2). • Remove the glove box (3). 3 2 1 Step 17 • Dislodge and remove the dash trim (1). 2 2 • Remove the three screws (2) in the upper part of the glove box cavity trim (3). 2 • Remove the two bolts (4) underneath the glove box cavity trim (3). • Dislodge the glove box cavity trim (3).
Suitable for: MITSUBISHI PAJERO Kit Part No: TPWKIT-009 Step 19 • Underneath the glove box cavity trim, remove the light connector clip (1). • Disconnect the light connector (2). 1 2 • Disconnect the 12v connector (3). 3 Step 20 • Remove the driver dash side trim (1). • Remove the upper trim panel (2). 2 1 Step 21 • Remove the upper trim panel (1). 1 • Remove the driver’s side switch panel trim (2).
Suitable for: MITSUBISHI PAJERO Kit Part No: TPWKIT-009 Step 22 • Secure the Brake Controller ECU (1) onto the Brake Controller Bracket (2) using supplied M4 Screws (3) M4 Spring Washer (4) and M4 Flat Washers (5). 3 4 5 2 1 Step 23 • Connect the 4-Way connector (1) from the kick panel harness to the Brake Controller ECU (2). 1 • Connect the Cat-5 Cable (3), supplied in the wiring kit, to the Brake Controller ECU (2).
Suitable for: MITSUBISHI PAJERO Kit Part No: TPWKIT-009 Step 25 • Route the Cat-5 Cable (1) towards the RHS of the vehicle. • Using the suppled Cable Ties, secure the Cat-5 Cable (1) every 300mm. 1 Step 26 • Insert the Universal Fascia (1) into the previously drilled out hole on the switch panel (2). • Insert the Electric Brake Switch (3) into the Universal Fascia (1) from behind. • Fasten the supplied Nut (4) locking the Electric Brake Switch (3) to the Universal Fascia (1). Torque the nut (4) to 0.8Nm.
Suitable for: MITSUBISHI PAJERO Kit Part No: TPWKIT-009 Step 28 The following step is for vehicle’s without a 3-way present. • If a connector is not present, then use the supplied connector. Using a jeweller’s flat head screw driver, disengage the 3-way connector’s secondary lock. Ensure the secondary lock is not removed from the connector. • House the blue and red wires on the kick panel harness (1) in the following orientation. • Connect the supplied connector to the vehicle connector (2).
Suitable for: MITSUBISHI PAJERO Kit Part No: TPWKIT-009 Step 31 • Locate to the 4-way connector at the rear of the LHS head light. • Disconnect and discard the blanking plug from the 4-way connector. • Install the Engine Bay Harness black wire terminal into position 3 of the supplied connector then insert the supplied Plug Seals into the remaining cavities. 1 • Connect the Engine Bay Harness (1) to the vehicle harness 4-way connector (2).
