Suitable for: Isuzu MU-X / D-Max Kit Part No: TPWKIT-006 Step 1 Always refer to the vehicle’s Workshop Manual when removing vehicle components. Note down all clock and radio settings. • In the engine bay, disconnect the negative battery terminal. Step 2 • On the front passenger mud guard (1), remove the three bolts (2). 2 • Remove the mud guard (1). 2 1 Step 3 • On the front lower rain shield (1), remove the two bolts (2), press clip (3) and nut (4). 1 • Remove the front lower rain shield (1).
Suitable for: Isuzu MU-X / D-Max Kit Part No: TPWKIT-006 Step 4 • Remove the scrivet (1) from inner splash guard. • Remove bolt (2) from wheel liner. 1 2 Step 5 • Remove the nine scrivets (1) from the wheel liner (2). 2 • Dislodge the wheel liner (2) and rest on tyre. 1 1 1 1 Step 6 • Locate and remove vehicle grommet (1) from behind the wheel liner.
Suitable for: Isuzu MU-X / D-Max Kit Part No: TPWKIT-006 Step 7 • From inside the cabin, remove the front passenger scuff plate (1). • Remove the passenger side kick panel fastener (2) before removing the passenger side kick panel (3). 2 3 1 Step 8 • Remove the glovebox (1). 1 Step 9 3 • Remove the four screws (1) from the glovebox surround (2). • Dislodge the glovebox surround (2) and disconnect the glovebox light (3) by twisting clockwise if present. 1 • Remove the glovebox surround (2).
Suitable for: Isuzu MU-X / D-Max Kit Part No: TPWKIT-006 Step 10 • Under the fan control unit, dislodge and remove the lower trim (1). • Dislodge the accessory panel (2) and remove all connectors from behind before removing. 2 3 • Remove a suitable blanking cap (3) from the accessory panel (2). 1 Step 11 • Cut out and adhere the Switch Template (page 15) (1) to the centre of the previously removed blanking cap (2). 1 • Drill a Ø2mm pilot hole in the two marks on the Switch Template (1).
Suitable for: Isuzu MU-X / D-Max Kit Part No: TPWKIT-006 Step 13 • Continue routing the Cat 5 Cable (1) towards the left side of the glovebox cavity. • Secure the Cat 5 Cable (1) behind the base of the glovebox support (2) following the factory harness using the supplied Cable Ties. Important Ensure the Cat 5 Cable (1) is secured away from any moving parts or sharp edges.
Suitable for: Isuzu MU-X / D-Max Kit Part No: TPWKIT-006 Step 16 • In the engine bay, route the grommet branch of the Electric Brake Harness (1) through the washer bottle reservoir cavity (2). 1 2 Step 17 • Continue routing the Electric Brake Harness (1) along the wheel arch and through the grommet hole. • Make sure the grommet (2) is seated correctly. 1 • Secure the Electric Brake Harness (1) using the supplied Cable Ties.
Suitable for: Isuzu MU-X / D-Max Kit Part No: TPWKIT-006 Step 19 • Connect the 4-Way Black Connector (1) and Cat 5 Cable (2) to the Brake Controller ECU (3). 2 1 3 Step 20 • In the engine bay, route the secondary branch of the Electric Brake Harness (1) from the battery down the engine bay. • Secure the Electric Brake Harness (1) using the supplied Cable Ties.
Suitable for: Isuzu MU-X / D-Max Kit Part No: TPWKIT-006 Step 22 • At the rear of the vehicle, disconnect the grey 8-way (1) connector on the trailer wiring harness. 1 Step 23 • Patch the grey 8-way connectors (1) from the Brake Controller Harness (2) into the trailer wiring harness grey 8-way connectors (3). 3 1 1 3 2 Step 24 • Locate the ‘Blue’ wire that is taped back on the trailer wiring harness near the 8-way connector.
Suitable for: Isuzu MU-X / D-Max Kit Part No: TPWKIT-006 Step 25 • Install the positive ring terminal (1) from the Electric Brake Harness to the vehicle positive battery terminal. • Connect the Electric Brake Harness negative ring terminal (2) to the vehicle earth point (3). 1 2 3 2 Step 26 • Re-connect the negative battery terminal. • Test the operation of the Tow-Pro system as per the Tow-Pro user manual. • Dispose of any parts not used from the fitment.
