ASPECT RATIO
Select your Aspect Ratio. The available aspect ratios are determined by your selected resolution.
For a list of available aspect ratios for your EPIC DRAGON, go to “EPIC DRAGON Formats” on page 63.
For a list of available aspect ratios for your SCARLET-X DRAGON, go to “SCARLET-X DRAGON Frame
Rates” on page 58.

SCARLET MYSTERIUM-X Formats” on page 67.
ANAMORPHIC
Select your Anamorphic setting, if applicable.
EPIC DRAGON supports anamorphic 1.3x and 2x with each format.
EPIC MYSTERIUM-X and SCARLET MYSTERIUM-X cameras support the following anamorphic settings:
5K FF: Anamorphic 1.3x and 2x
5K 1.22:1: Anamorphic 2x
DE-SQUEEZED RESOLUTION AND DE-SQUEEZED ASPECT RATIO
When you select an anamorphic format, both the actual format and the de-squeezed format display at the bot-
tom of the Format screen.
When using an anamorphic format, the camera does not crop the sensor image, so the recorded image has the
same resolution and dimensions as the corresponding non-anamorphic format.
When you de-squeeze the footage in post-production, the resulting footage has the resolution and aspect ratio
listed as the second format at the bottom of the Format screen.
Since the camera does not crop the image, you will have additional horizontal area to frame your image. You
can then crop or scale your footage to the intended aspect ratio.
