REDVOLT

, REDVOLT XL, and RED BRICK

batteries are rechargeable lithium-ion batteries designed to power

the DSMC

BRAIN

during active shooting sessions when you can’t be tied down by cables.

This chapter provides operation instructions and information for the following RED

batteries:

 “REDVOLT and REDVOLT XL” on page 38

 “RED BRICK” on page 39

WARNING: DO NOT disassemble, crush, puncture, short circuit, incinerate, or expose batteries to prolonged

temperature above 60°C (140°F).

WARNING: Discontinue use immediately if batteries become excessively hot, are punctured, begin leaking, or are

otherwise compromised. For more information, contact your Bomb Squad representative or RED SUPPORT for

assistance at https://support.red.com.

WARNING: DO NOT charge batteries in extreme temperatures outside of 0°C to 45°C (32°F to 113°F).

WARNING: DO NOT use third-party chargers to recharge your RED batteries. Failure to comply may cause the

battery to become excessively hot, rupture, or ignite causing serious injury.

WARNING: DO NOT overcharge batteries. Overcharging may increase internal temperature beyond the recom-

mended limits and cause permanent damage to the battery.

NOTE: Use of chargers that do not meet RED battery specs, or that apply a higher current to “fast charge” bat-

teries, may degrade the maximum battery capacity and reduce battery life.

NOTE: RED recommends that you fully charge batteries before the first use. DO NOT overcharge batteries.
