WhentheGeoFenceenginebeginstobuildafence,itwillcalculateanallowedMinimumRadiususinganaccuracyfig‐
urebasedonanaverageof200locationpointsacquiredoveranintervalof15‐20minutes.Thisvalueisthenmulti‐
pliedbytheLockdownRadiusMultipliertoobtainthe
ModifiedMinimumRadius.
TheModifiedMinimumRadiuswillnotbeallowedtobelessthantheMinimumAccuracy,andwillbeincreasedtothe
MinimumAccuracyasneeded.TheMinimumAccuracywillalsoprovidealowerlimitfortheFixedLockdownRadius.
Theallowablerangeis0‐2000.
FixedLockdownRadius
(Required):ThevalueoftheFixedLockdownRadiusmaybeenteredinthisfield.Therecom‐
mendedsettingforthisoptionis0(off).
GeoFencebehaviorcanbedescribedinthefollowingways:
•Flexibleradius:Toselectthisoption,theFixedLockdownRadiusmustbesetto0.
•Flexibleradiuswithadditionalfixedbuffer:Toselectthisoption,enteravalue,precededwith‘+’.
•Fixedradius:Toselectthisoption,enteranynon‐zerovalue.
DuringtheestablishmentofaGeoF ence,asetof200locationpointsareobtainedoveraperiodof15‐20minutesto
determineaninitial‘minimumradius’possibleforthedevice.TheFlexibleradiusbehaviorusestheCalculatedMini‐
mumRadiusandtheconfiguredLockdownRadiusMultipliervaluestosetthe
GeoFenceboundary.SettingtheFixed
LockdownRadiustoapositiveoffset(+20,forexample)hastheeffectofaddingafixedamountofbufferspacetothe
CalculatedMinimumRadius,andtheLockdownRadiusMultiplierhasnoeff ect.
ForFixedRadiusbehavior,theconfiguredvaluefortheFixedLockdownRadius
isusedtosetanabsoluteminimum
radiusfortheGeoFence,subjecttoincreasebytheconfiguredMinimumAccuracyorCalculatedMinimumRadiusval‐
uesasneeded.
NotethatsincethecalculatedminimumradiusmaychangeovertimedependingonacquiredGPSlocationdata,the
valuewillneverbeallowedto
becomelessthantheMinimumAccuracynortheCalculatedMinimumAccuracy.
NumberofViolationstoignore(Required):Enterthenumberofviolationstoignoreinthisfield.Therecommended
valueforthisfieldis10‐30points(approximately20‐60seconds).
TolimitfalsealarmsfromoccasionaldriftingGPSpoints,this
valuewillignoreacertainnumberofanomalouspoints
befor ealertingaSixViewManagerserver.ThispreventsaninaccuratesitefromconstantlyupdatingtheSixViewMan‐
agerwithdubiousinformation.Newpointsarereceivedaboutevery2seconds.Theallowablerangeis0‐300.
ViolationGracePeriod(Required):Thevalueof
theGracePeriodmaybeenteredinthisfield.Therecommendedset‐
tingforthisfieldis60.
Oncewehaveignoredthefirstfewanomalouslocationfixes,pointsoutsidetheGeoFenceareconsideredaviolation.
Thistimerspecified(inseconds)howlongtotoleratepointsoutsidetheGeoFenceboundary,
befor edeclaringafull
“ViolationOutside”andenactingthe“ViolationAction”.Theallowablerangeis30‐600.
MaximumLoss‐of‐datatime(Required):ThemaximumnumberofsecondsforwhichnoGPSdataisreceivedmaybe
enteredinthisfield.Therecommendedsettingforthisfieldis120.
Ordinarily,aGPS
devicegenerateslocationinformationupdatesonacontinuousregularperiodicbasis.Alossofthese
updatesmaybeduetoatemporaryorintermittentreceptionissue,orduetothedevicehavingbeenmovedtoan
areadevoidofGPSreceptionordisconnectionoranexternalGPSreceiver,eitherdeliberately
oraccidentallybyper‐
sonsauthorizedtodosoornot.
ThisparametersetstheperiodofGPSdatalossbeyondwhichthedevicemaybeconsideredhavingbeentampered
withandsubjecttosecuringactions.Theallowablerangeis30‐1200.
