WhentheGeoFenceenginebeginstobuildafence,itwillcalculateanallowedMinimumRadiususinganaccuracyfig
urebasedonanaverageof200locationpointsacquiredoveranintervalof1520minutes.Thisvalueisthenmulti
pliedbytheLockdownRadiusMultipliertoobtainthe
ModifiedMinimumRadius.
TheModifiedMinimumRadiuswillnotbeallowedtobelessthantheMinimumAccuracy,andwillbeincreasedtothe
MinimumAccuracyasneeded.TheMinimumAccuracywillalsoprovidealowerlimitfortheFixedLockdownRadius.
Theallowablerangeis02000.
FixedLockdownRadius
(Required):ThevalueoftheFixedLockdownRadiusmaybeenteredinthisfield.Therecom
mendedsettingforthisoptionis0(off).
GeoFencebehaviorcanbedescribedinthefollowingways:
•Flexibleradius:Toselectthisoption,theFixedLockdownRadiusmustbesetto0.
•Flexibleradiuswithadditionalfixedbuffer:Toselectthisoption,enteravalue,precededwith+’.
•Fixedradius:Toselectthisoption,enteranynonzerovalue.
DuringtheestablishmentofaGeoF ence,asetof200locationpointsareobtainedoveraperiodof1520minutesto
determineaninitial‘minimumradius’possibleforthedevice.TheFlexibleradiusbehaviorusestheCalculatedMini
mumRadiusandtheconfiguredLockdownRadiusMultipliervaluestosetthe
GeoFenceboundary.SettingtheFixed
LockdownRadiustoapositiveoffset(+20,forexample)hastheeffectofaddingafixedamountofbufferspacetothe
CalculatedMinimumRadius,andtheLockdownRadiusMultiplierhasnoeff ect.
ForFixedRadiusbehavior,theconfiguredvaluefortheFixedLockdownRadius
isusedtosetanabsoluteminimum
radiusfortheGeoFence,subjecttoincreasebytheconfiguredMinimumAccuracyorCalculatedMinimumRadiusval
uesasneeded.
NotethatsincethecalculatedminimumradiusmaychangeovertimedependingonacquiredGPSlocationdata,the
valuewillneverbeallowedto
becomelessthantheMinimumAccuracynortheCalculatedMinimumAccuracy.
NumberofViolationstoignore(Required):Enterthenumberofviolationstoignoreinthisfield.Therecommended
valueforthisfieldis1030points(approximately2060seconds).
TolimitfalsealarmsfromoccasionaldriftingGPSpoints,this
valuewillignoreacertainnumberofanomalouspoints
befor ealertingaSixViewManagerserver.ThispreventsaninaccuratesitefromconstantlyupdatingtheSixViewMan
agerwithdubiousinformation.Newpointsarereceivedaboutevery2seconds.Theallowablerangeis0300.
ViolationGracePeriod(Required):Thevalueof
theGracePeriodmaybeenteredinthisfield.Therecommendedset
tingforthisfieldis60.
Oncewehaveignoredthefirstfewanomalouslocationfixes,pointsoutsidetheGeoFenceareconsideredaviolation.
Thistimerspecified(inseconds)howlongtotoleratepointsoutsidetheGeoFenceboundary,
befor edeclaringafull
“ViolationOutsideandenactingtheViolationAction”.Theallowablerangeis30600.
MaximumLossofdatatime(Required):ThemaximumnumberofsecondsforwhichnoGPSdataisreceivedmaybe
enteredinthisfield.Therecommendedsettingforthisfieldis120.
Ordinarily,aGPS
devicegenerateslocationinformationupdatesonacontinuousregularperiodicbasis.Alossofthese
updatesmaybeduetoatemporaryorintermittentreceptionissue,orduetothedevicehavingbeenmovedtoan
areadevoidofGPSreceptionordisconnectionoranexternalGPSreceiver,eitherdeliberately
oraccidentallybyper
sonsauthorizedtodosoornot.
ThisparametersetstheperiodofGPSdatalossbeyondwhichthedevicemaybeconsideredhavingbeentampered
withandsubjecttosecuringactions.Theallowablerangeis301200.
