2.1.5.3 MinimalReception
Onoccasion,youcanfindyourselfinasituationwhereyouhavejustenoughsignaltobeabletocommunicatewiththe
cellulartowerandobtainanIPaddress,butnotenoughreceptiontobeabletosustainaviableconnection.
Ifyourcellularcardis usingdynamicallyassignedIPaddresses,
youcandetermineifyouareinasituationlikethisby
watchingthe“CellularInterface”fieldfromtheHomescreen(Summary‐>Status)asshownbelow:
IfyourefreshthisscreeneveryfewminutesandnoticethattheIPaddressischangingfrequently,itispossiblethatthe
router
isconnectingtothenetworkandobtaininganIPaddressandthentheconnectiontothecellularnetworkisbeing
dropped.Whentheconnectionisre‐established,thedeviceisthenissuedadifferentIPaddress.
