IPTransparencyissupportedonRedLionroutersintheIndustrialProandEnterpriseProseries.TheIPTransparencymenu
itemisusedtoconfigurethetransparentbridgingcapabilityoftheRedLionrouter.
IPTransparencyisaspecialusecapability.IPTransparencywilltakeallinboundtraffictotheRedLionrouter
andpassit
transparentlythroughtotheinterfacespecified.Thisisusefulwhenitisdesiredtopasstraffictoalegacyfirewall,orVPN
concentratorlocatedbehindtheRedLionrouterandnottousethefirewallorVPNcapabilitiesoftheRedLionrouter
itself.

Transparencymenuitemandthefollowingdialogwindowwillappear:
EnableIPTransparency:SelectYestoenabletheIPTransparencyfeature.Settingswilltakeeffectimmediatelywhen
theApplybuttonisclickedorafterarebootwhenSaveisclicked.Note:EnablingIPTransparencywi llnegateallconfig‐
uredfirewallrules.
ThefirewallandDMZHostserviceswillbedisabledpriortousingIPTransparency.
SelectInternalInterface:Selecttheinterfacetobedesignatedthe“internal”interfacebymakingtheappropriate
choicefromtheprovidedlist.ThewirelessIPwillbeissuedoutofthisinterface.
InterfaceSpeed/Duplex:SelecttheSpeedand
Duplextobeusedforthephysicalinterface.Therecommendedsetting
forthisfieldisAuto‐Detect.Thefoll owing optionsareavailable:
