UserZeroCorrection:Manuallyadjusttheuseroffsetcalibrationforanaloginputs/outputs.Everyanalog/inputiscali
bratedatthefactoryaccordingtothespecifiedaccuracy.Theusercalibrationissuppliedtoaccounttoadjustthe
reported
valuestoaccountforwiringorinstrumentationerrors.Forthisreason,mostinputs/outputswillNOTneedto
becalibrated.
ZeroorOffsetcalibrationsareusedtoadjustthereportedvaluefrom5to15%fullscale.Thecali brationcanbe
adjustedcoarselybymovingtheslidebarfromlefttoright
withamouse.Forfineadjustments,usethe‐/+buttonson
eithersideoftheslidebar.Thecorrespondingadjustmentwillbedisplayedinthecalibrationconfiguration.Thecali
brationwillnottakeeff ectuntiltheapply buttonisclicked.
Anegativeadjustment(negativecalibrationvalue)willcausethereportedchannel
valuetogodown.Apositiveadjust
ment(positivecalibrationvalue)willcausethereportedchannelvaluetogoup.Thelargerthecalibrationvaluethe
greaterthedifferencewillbebetweenthereportedchannelvalueandtheactualmeasuredvalue.
Instructionsonaddingusercalibrations:
Usethismethodtocalibrateachannelusingthemanualslidebarusercalibration.
1. Setyouranalogsignaldeviceforanearminimum(5to15%fullscale)output.Measurethedevice’soutputatthemod
ule’sscrewterminalswithaprecisionmeterorexternalstandardmonitor.
2. Applythesmallsignaltotheanaloginputchannel.Comparethevaluecurrentlybeingreportedwiththevalueonyour
meter.Iftheyarenotequal,adjusttheOffsetvaluebytheusingtheslidebarandarrowsintheOffsetdisplaybox.Click
theApplybuttonandobservetheeffect
ofthenewoffsetfactor.Repeatthisstepuntilasatisfactoryreadingisobtained.
3. Setyouranalogdeviceforanearfullscale(85to95%fullscale)output.Comparethevaluecurrentlybeingreportedwith
thevalueonyourmeter.Iftheyarenotequal,adjustthespanvalueby
usingtheslidebarandarrowsinthespandisplay
box.ClicktheApplybuttonandobservetheeffectofthenewspanfactor.Repeatthisstepunitasatisfactory readingis
obtained.
4. Thechannelisnowcalibrated.
