Automation Tab
AnalogInputFiltering:Thetablebelowexplainsthefiltering(integration)optionsontheanaloginputs.Thefasterthe
integrationtime,thequickerthechannelswillbesampled.Howerver,quickersampleswillrenderlessaccurateread‐
ings.Formostaccuratereadings,selecttheslowersample/filteringsettings.
TemperatureReporting:Choosefrom1°C,0.1°C,
1°Fand0.1°F.Whensetfor1°CorF, thetemperatureisreportedas
wholedegreesandifsetfor0.1°CorF,thereportedvalueisthetemperaturemultipliedby10andreportedasaninte‐
ger.
Channel:AchannelisaphysicalIOpointthatcanbeeitheranalog
ordigital.
ModbusAddress:Thisfieldindicatetheregisteraddressesforeachchannel.Configurationmustbesequential.
Addressesarefixedsequentiallyfromthebaseaddress.
InputType:Selectthetypeofsignalthatwillbeconnectedtotheinput.
Disabled:Thisoptionwillcompletelydisablethechannelsothechannelwillalwaysreportazero.TheInputRangeisconfigu‐
rationwillbedisabledaswell.
VoltageRange:Whenthisoptionisselected,theanaloginputwillbeconfiguredtotakeaDCvoltagerange.TheInputRange
mustalso
beconfigured.
CurrentRange:Withthisoptionselected,theanaloginputwillbeconfiguredtotakecurrentinstrumentationinput(0‐40mA
or4‐20mA).TheInputRangemustalsobeconfigured.
InputRange:Selecttherangethatwillbeconnectetotheinputchannel.
0‐5VDCand0‐10VDC:ThisoptionwillbeavailablewhentheVoltageRangeoptionisselected.Inthesemodes,thevaluewill
bescaledfromtheselectedrange(0‐5VDCand0‐10VDC)to0‐32767(decimal).
0‐20mAPositiveResultsOnlyand4‐20
mAPositiveResultsOnly:TheseoptionswillbeavailablewhentheCurrentRange
optionisselectedInthsemodes,thevaluewillbescaledfromtheselectedrange(0‐20mAand4‐20mA )to0‐32767(decimal).
Nonegativeresultswillbedisplayed.Ifnosignalisconnected,theanaloginput
vlauereportedwillbe0(decimal).
4‐20mANegativebelow4mA:Whenthisoptionisselected,the4‐20mArangewillbescaledfrom0‐32767(decimal).Aneg‐
ativevaluewillbedisplayedwhennothingisconnectedtotheinputortheinstrumentisnolongersupplyinga
current.This
settingcanbeusedtodetectafailedordisconnectedinstrument.
Note:Negativenumbersaredeterminedbyusingthemostsignificantbitinthe16‐bitdecimalvalueasasignedbit.When
themostsignificantbitis0,thevalueispositive.Whenthemostsignificantbitis
1,thevalueisnegative.Therefore,thevalue
readfromthechannelmaybedisplayeddifferentlydependingonthedevicethatisreadingthatvalue.Forexample,negative
valuesmayalsobereadasanydecimalvalueabove32767.
