Chapter 4: Installing Websense Enterprise or Web Security Suite
Policy Server: Provide the IP address and port number of the Policy
Server machine.
Filtering Service: Enter the IP address of the Filtering Service
machine, and the port number if it is different from the default.
Sun Java System configuration: The installer asks for configuration
information for the Sun Java System Web Proxy Server:
• Enter the location of the configuration file for the Sun Java System
Web Proxy Server (
obj.conf). This file is located in the
/config subdirectory in the directory where the Web Proxy
Server instance associated with the Websense filtering software
was installed. Installation of the Sun Web Proxy Plug-in modifies
this configuration file for communication with the Websense
Filtering Service.
• Select the version number of your Sun Java System Web Proxy
Server.
Installation directory: Enter the path to the directory where you
want to install the Sun Web Proxy Plug-in, or accept the default
location
(
/opt/Websense). If this directory does not already exist, the
installer will create it.
Note
The displayed configuration port (55806) is the default
port number used by the installer to install the Policy
Server. If you installed the Policy Server using a different
port number, enter that port number.
Note
The Sun Java System Web Proxy Server was previously
known as the Sun ONE Web Proxy Server and iPlanet Web
Proxy Server (v3.6), and the Netscape Proxy Server (v3.5).
Important
The full installation path must use only ASCII characters.
Do not use extended ASCII or double-byte characters.
