Installation guide

Sun Java System Web Proxy Server 43
Chapter 3: Upgrading Websense Enterprise or Web Security Suite
14. Restart the Sun Java System Web Proxy Server associated with the
Websense filtering software.
15. If you did not enable the use of all protocols (HTTP, HTTPS, FTP, etc.)
when you installed the Sun Java System Web Proxy Server, you may
choose to do so now. For instructions, see the documentation for your
version of the Web Proxy Server.
16. If you are using version 4.0 of the Sun Java System Web Proxy Server,
additional configuration is required to integrate with a directory service
for user- and group-based access control. For instructions, see Integrating
Web Proxy Server 4.0 with a Directory Service, page 211.
If you decide to change the location of a Websense component, add a feature,
or remove a component, run the Websense installer again on the machine you
want to modify and select the appropriate option. The installer detects the
presence of Websense components and offers you options for modifying your
installation.
Upgrading Components on Windows
Run the Windows version of the Websense Enterprise or Web Security Suite
installer on each Windows machine on which a Websense component is
installed.
Important
Make sure you upgrade any other Websense components
or products that may have a dependency on the system you
just upgraded. This will prevent conflicts caused by
incompatible versions.
For example, if you are using Websense Reporting Tools,
you must upgrade them to the same version as the Websense
filtering components to properly generate reports.
Important
Make sure to back up the
websense.ini,
eimserver.ini, and config.xml files before
proceeding. A full system backup is recommended.
