7.4.3 Command Line Options
Options for installing or uninstalling SAP ASE in console mode.
Option Purpose
-i console
Uses the console interface mode, where messages appear on the Java console and the wiz
ard runs in console mode.
-i silent
Installs or uninstalls the product in silent mode, without user interaction.
-D
Passes custom variables and properties. For example, to override the default installation di
rectory when you run the installer, enter:
<install_launcher_name>
-DUSER_INSTALL_DIR=/sybase
-r
Generates a response file and a reference.
-f
References response files.
-l
Sets the installer’s locales.
-\?
Displays the installer help.
7.5 Uninstalling SAP ASE
To remove SAP ASE, run the installer. The uninstallation process reverses only those actions originally performed
by the installer, leaving intact any files or registry entries you created after the installation.
Prerequisites
Shut down all servers.
