Types of SMEE Libraries
With Interstage Application Server, the following SSL libraries can be used (commands used for creating
the environment vary according to the SMEE library to be used):
SMEE2: SSL library of SMEE 2.2.x or earlier
Included in Interstage 1.0 and later.
UTF-8 certificates cannot be used.
To create and set up the key management environment, the mkslt and mktkn commands are
used.
SMEE3: SSL library of SMEE 3.x or later
Included in Interstage Application Server 4.0 or later.
UTF-8 certificates can be used.
To create and set up the key management environment, the makeslot and maketoken
commands are used.
In this manual, the above libraries are referred to as SMEE2 and SMEE3.
Note
Use SMEE3 as far as possible.
Table 8-1 shows whether the above SMEE library can be used (O: usable, X: not usable).
