Migrating Your Web Server
You can migrate the following iPlanet Web Server 4.x information to work with iPlanet
Web Server 6.0
• All user and group information stored in a local database (if you choose to migrate it)
• Document roots and any other directory mappings
• Configuration styles information
• Software and hardware virtual server settings
• Search collections
• Search pattern files
• Access Control List (ACL) information
• Secure Socket Layer (SSL) information
• Certificates and keys
• NSAPI information
• Servlets
• JavaServer Pages (JSPs)
• Simple Session Manager and JDBC Session Manager (deprecated)
• Server Side HTML (SHTML)
NOTE
In general, when this document refers to iPlanet Web Server 4.x, the information
applies not only to iPlanet Web Server 4.0 and 4.1, but to their service pack
releases as well, such as iPlanet Web Server 4.0, SP6 and iPlanet Web Server 4.1,
SP 6.
