Viewing Message Server node details
To view details about a Message Server node, click ‘Configure’ against the Message Server Cluster
name on the Server Administration Service Home page. This displays the ‘Home > Message Server
Cluster’ page, displaying all the nodes of the selected Message Server Cluster.
In the Nodes section, click on the name of the selected node whose details are to be viewed.
The ‘Home > Message Server Cluster >Node’ page displays information for the node such as name,
Host and Lookup port.
Modifying Message Server Cluster configuration
You can modify the Lookup port details for a node by clicking ‘Configure’ in the Nodes section of
‘Home > Message Server Cluster’ page.
To configure a node:
1 Click the name of the cluster in the Message Server Clusters area of Server Administration Ser-
vice Home page.
2 This displays the cluster configuration details that were defined while creating the cluster along
with the list of nodes configured for that cluster.
3 To modify the Lookup port details of a node, click on ‘Configure’ corresponding to the desired
node.
4 In the ‘Home > Message Server Cluster Node’ page, edit the Lookup port field and click ‘Save’.
The Status panel displays a success message if the change in configuration is successful.
Stopping Message Server node
When a cluster is started and is running, the corresponding row is highlighted in green in the Server
Administration Service Home page.
To stop a specific node, connect to URL:
http://<IP of the machine running adminservice>:4748/admin?jndiUrl=rmi://<IP of the node>:<naming port of
the node>
This opens the Console screen displaying details for the nodes. Click ‘Stop’. You are prompted if the
node is to be stopped. Clicking ‘OK’ stops the same, and displays an appropriate message.
On the Server Administration Service Home page, click ‘Refresh’. The Message Server cluster area
now displays the updated list of nodes.
Stopping Cluster
To stop a Cluster, use the ‘Stop Cluster’ option provided on the Console. You are prompted if the
node is to be stopped. Clicking ‘OK’ stops the same, and displays an appropriate message.
You need to explicitly click on the ‘Refresh’ button provided on the Server Administration Service
page to display the current status of the cluster. Once the cluster is stopped, a checkbox is made
available for deletion of the same.
