Configuring Message Server Cluster Using Server Admin Service
Click ‘Next >>’. A successful addition of the cluster takes you to the Server Administration Service
Home page, displaying the added Message Server Cluster.
Starting Message Server Cluster
On the Server Administration Service Home page, select the Message Server Cluster you want to
start.
1 Click ‘Start’ against the required Message Server cluster node. This displays details of the nodes
that are defined for the cluster along with an option to specify JVM options, and the Security
details of the user.
2 Select all the nodes that you want to start.
Note: You can click on the name of the node to view the node details.
3 The Default security realm is 'system', and the default username is 'root'. Enter the password for
the relevant realm. The default value for the ‘system’ realm is pramati.
4 Click ‘Start’.
A successful start takes you to the Server Administration Service page.
If you select a single node, or did not select all the nodes, you can see an option to ‘Start other
nodes’.
Note: To start a Standalone Message Server or Message Server Cluster with a Standalone J2EE Server or
J2EE cluster, the J2EE nodes must be started with their <jms-service> option.
Connecting to Cluster
To connect to the Cluster:
1 Click ‘Connect’ against the Message Server cluster. The login page appears.
2 Enter the user name and password for the realm. For the system realm, the default values are root
and pramati respectively.
3 Click ‘Login’.
You are connected to the selected node.
The name of the connected node is displayed as selected in the Explore panel, while the Display
panel shows details regarding alerts and the connected node.
Host This is the name of the machine where the node will be configured (say, ‘localhost’ or
‘192.168.1.12’). The node can be configured on any machine in the local LAN where
Administration Service is running.
Lookup Port The port on which the node's Naming Service will be started. Say, ‘9191’.
