Pramati Server Components
Pramati Server Administration Service
Pramati Administration Service can be secured through a username and password. Two services can
communicate with each other only if both use identical username and password.
Pramati Server Management Console
The Console is customizable to suit server administration requirements. Through diagnostic and
tuning aids, administrators can optimally deploy resources and extract maximum performance in
any scenario.
Java Client
These are Java programs that directly access EJB applications or other services over RMI.
Third Party Integration with Apache/IIS
Pramati provides WebGate plugin that enables Pramati Server to comminucate with other web
servers like Apache and IIS. This is useful in scenarios where a web server can serve all static content
and Pramati can take care of serving the dynamic pages. This way, Pramati server is relieved of the
burden to server static pages.
To learn more about configuring Pramati Server with this support, refer to the ‘Administration
Guide’.
Configuring Components using Pramati Server Administration
Service
Pramati Administration Service enables discovery, configuring, and managing Pramati Servers in the
network. This service installs with every Pramati Server installation. For management of a Server, the
service must be started and should run on that Server host.
When a service starts, it discovers all other Administration Services that are up on the network at
that time. It then lets you connect to those Servers through the Console and enables remote
management of that environment.
Configuring Components using Console
Console uses the Java Management Extensions (JMX) framework and is a web-based tool to manage
one or more Pramati Servers.
Configuring Components by Modifying Configuration XMLs
Pramati Server instances can be configured manually by modifying the configuration XML files.
Server instances of type J2EE, Message Server and Cluster can be manually created with simple
configuration in the XML files.
