System Requirements for Installing
Pramati Server
This document provides information about system requirements for installing and
configuring Pramati Server 3.5 on Windows and Unix platforms.
System Requirements
Before you start installing Pramati Server, check for:
• Hardware Requirements
• Operating System Requirements
• Software Requirements
• Database Requirements
Hardware Requirements
The hardware requirements are:
• Any hardware platform that supports Java with minimum 128 MB RAM (256
recommended).
• Minimum 100 MB hard disk space during installation. Also, make sure that the
temporary directory set by the Environment Variable TMP has a minimum disk space of
100 MB.
• Minimum 80 MB of free disk space for downloading the installation file from the web
site. This is not applicable if you are installing from the CD.
Operating System Requirements
You can install Server on any platform that supports JDK 1.3.1_01 or above.
The recommended platforms for installing Pramati Server 4.1 on Windows are:
• Windows 2000™ Professional and Server
• Windows NT™ 4.0 with Service Pack 5 or higher
• Windows XP Professional
The recommended platforms for installing Pramati Server 4.1 on Unix based platforms are:
•RedHat Linux™ 6.2
• RedHat Advanced Server 2.1
• Caldera OpenLinux Server 3.1.1
•Sun Solaris™ 7 and 8
