How NeatSuite Protects Your Network from
Viruses
With automatic virus updates from Trend Micro, NeatSuite ensures protection against
viruses and malicious content. The products in the suite address each of the virus
entry points as follows:
• An email message or attachment—Viruses in SMTP traffic going between your
network and the gateway are detected by InterScan VirusWall. Viruses in traffic
going between clients within your network are detected by ScanMail
• A Web download or file transfer—Viruses in HTTP and FTP traffic going
between the gateway and your network are detected by InterScan VirusWall
• Removable media —Viruses on USB drives, compact discs, or other peripherals
connected to a desktop are detected by OfficeScan
• A infected file on a file server—ServerProtect looks for viruses and malicious
code on your file servers, and uses backups to protect your data
The centralized management tools available with Trend Micro Control Manager can
monitor and manage the entire network from a single console, providing single-point
administration and centralized logging.
