Chapter 4. Managing Red Hat High Availability Add-On With
Conga
This chapter describes various administrative tasks for managing Red Hat High Availability Add-On
and consists of the following sections:
Section 4.1, “Adding an Existing Cluster to the luci Interface”
Section 4.2, “ Removing a Cluster from the luci Interface”
Section 4.3, “ Managing Cluster Nodes”
Section 4.4, “Starting, Stopping, Restarting, and D eleting Clusters”
Section 4.5, “ Managing High-Availability Services”
Section 4.6, “ Backing Up and Restoring the luci Configuration”
4.1. Adding an Exist ing Clust er t o t he luci Int erface
If you have previously created a High Availability Add-On cluster you can easily add the cluster to
the lu ci interface so that you can manage the cluster with Co n g a.
To add an existing cluster to the lu ci interface, follow these steps:
1. Click Man ag e Clu st ers from the menu on the left side of the lu ci Ho meb ase page. The

Since each node in the cluster contains all of the configuration information for the cluster,
this should provide enough information to add the cluster to the lu ci interface.
4. Click C o nnect. The Ad d Exist in g Clu st er screen then displays the cluster name and the
remaining nodes in the cluster.
5. Enter the individual ricci passwords for each node in the cluster, or enter one password and
select Use same p asswo rd f o r all n o d es.
6. Click Ad d C l uster. The previously-configured cluster now displays on the Man ag e
Clu st ers screen.
4.2. Removing a Clust er from t he luci Int erface
You can remove a cluster from the lu ci management GUI without affecting the cluster services or
cluster membership. If you remove a cluster, you can later add the cluster back, or you can add it to
another lu ci instance, as described in Section 4.1, “Adding an Existing Cluster to the luci Interface” .
To remove a cluster from the lu ci management GUI without affecting the cluster services or cluster
membership, follow these steps:
1. Click Man ag e Clu st ers from the menu on the left side of the lu ci Ho meb ase page. The
Clu st ers screen appears.
