NOTE: Before installing cover, discard plastic plug from locking feature.
1. Install outlet box according to product instructions.
2. Wire electrical devices according to national and local electrical codes.
3. Remove device (receptacle) screws. Remove cut-out areas of gasket to fit
appropriate device. Place gasket over device. (Fig. 1)
4. Insert and loosely install 2 screws (furnished) through top and bottom small slots in
gasket through device holes into box. Thread screws until heads extend 3/8" from
gasket. (Fig. 2)
5. Prepare device for cover installation. Cover can be mounted vertically or
horizontally. GFCI* device - no adapter needed. Duplex or Switch device - push
adapter pins into gasket and device. (Fig. 3 & 4). Round device up to 1-9/16" -
remove breakaway sections from inside of cover. Remove inner circle of adapter.
Push adapter pins into gasket and device. (Fig. 4 & 5)
6. Place cover KEYHOLES over screws and "square" cover to box. (Fig. 6)
NOTE: Turn screws fully down (do not over tighten) and then loosen them
1-1/2 turns for proper gasket compression.
7. Use caulk or sealant around cover when installed on an irregular flat surface such as
brick or wood siding.
8. TURN ON POWER!

*GFCI NOTE: Alternative GFCI installation
(not pictured). Verify GFCI is securely fastened to
box. Remove center from gasket and place over
GFCI. Insert (2) screws (furnished) through top
and bottom ROUND holes in cover into threaded
holes in GFCI. Tighten screws. See steps 5 & 6.
