The robot’s battery level is shown by an
icon in the lower left corner of the video.
A similar indicator for the OCU3 will be
found in the lower right corner of the
video. The table to the left provides an
overview of this icon and the robot or
OCU3’s state of charge.
Marginal Fair Good
The robot’s received signal strength is shown by an icon immediately
above the battery level icon. There are three levels (marginal, fair, and
good) for receive signal strength depicted at left. With marginal signal
strength, there is the potential to lose control of the robot.
Additional Icons may appear for the various payloads in the Tactical
Interchange System. Please see the documentation that comes with the
Tactical Interchange System Payloads for More Information.
The Throwbot 2 robot incorporates icons within the video signal for displaying
operational information on the OCU or Command Monitoring Station (CMS).
Note: Earlier generation robots from ReconRobotics such as the Throwbot XT and Recon Scout CT
do not have this capability and will not transmit the same information, even if used with the OCU3
from a Throwbot 2 kit.
