interference include transmission towers, two-way radios, wireless

devices,industrialdevicesoperangonRFfrequencyaswellas

moonsensors,remotecontrols,andmicrowaveovens.stepsand

adviceinthissecon.

Why is the speed

valuewrong?

MOD uses GPS technology to determine speed. When you turn on

MOD, you need to wait ten minutes for it to acquire satellite data.

GPStechnologyworksbestinopenspaceswitha360degreeviewof

theskywhichgivesaccesstoatleastthreesatellites.Beinginavalley,

besideatree,buildingorrockfacecanblockMODfromgengGPS

coverage. AvoidusingMODinsidebuildingsandgondolasornear

solidobstruconssuchastreesandrockfacescaninterruptGPS

coverageandcauseincorrectdatatoappear.

Stepstotake:

1. Changelocaon.Movetoanopenlocaonwithaclearviewof

thesky.Ifyouareinavalleyorgulley,movetohigherground.

2. Wait for the GPS indicator icon to show two or three green

signals.

3. Ifchanginglocaondoesnothelp,restartMODbyturningthe

poweroandonagain.

4. If you can’t get a GPS signal, contact Recon Support.
