Witharescuemedium,suchasadiscoraUSBharddiskdrive,youcanrecoverthecomputerfromfailures
thatpreventyoufromgainingaccesstotheOneKeyRecoveryProworkspaceonyourharddiskdrive.

1.Therecoveryoperationsyoucanperformusingarescuemediumvarydependingontheoperating

Creatingarescuemedium
Thissectionprovidesinstructionsonhowtocreatearescuemedium.
1.FromtheWindowsdesktop,clickStart➙AllPrograms➙LenovoThinkVantageTools➙Enhanced
BackupandRestore.TheOneKeyRecoveryProprogramopens.
2.IntheOneKeyRecoveryPromainwindow,clicktheLaunchadvancedOneKeyRecoveryProarrow.
3.ClicktheCreateRescueMediaicon.TheCreateOneKeyRecoveryProMediawindowopens.
4.IntheRescueMediaarea,selectthetypeoftherescuemediumyouwanttocreate.Youcancreatea
rescuemediumusingadisc,aUSBharddiskdrive,orasecondaryinternalharddiskdrive.
5.ClickOKandfollowtheinstructionsonthescreentocreatearescuemedium.
Usingarescuemedium
Thissectionprovidesinstructionsonhowtousetherescuemediumyouhavecreated.
•Ifyouhavecreatedarescuemediumusingadisc,usethefollowinginstructionstousetherescuemedium:
1.Turnoffyourcomputer.
2.RepeatedlypressandreleasetheF12keywhenturningonthecomputer.WhentheBootMenu
windowopens,releasetheF12key.
3.IntheBootMenuwindow,selectthedesiredopticaldriveastherstbootdevice.Then,insertthe
rescuediscintotheopticaldriveandpressEnter.Therescuemediumstarts.
•IfyouhavecreatedarescuemediumusingaUSBharddiskdrive,usethefollowinginstructionsto
usetherescuemedium:
1.AttachtheUSBharddiskdrivetooneoftheUSBconnectorsonyourcomputer.
2.RepeatedlypressandreleasetheF12keywhenturningonthecomputer.WhentheBootMenu
windowopens,releasetheF12key.
