•Problem:Theoperatingtimeforafullychargedbatterypackisshort.
Solution:Dischargeandrechargethebatterypack.Ifyourbatteryoperatingtimeisstillshort,usea
newbatterypack.
•Problem:Thecomputerdoesnotoperatewithafullychargedbatterypack.
Solution:Thesurgeprotectorinthebatterypackmightbeactive.Turnoffthecomputerforoneminuteto
resettheprotector;thenturnonthecomputeragain.
•Problem:Thebatterypackcannotbecharged.
Solution:Youcannotchargethebatterywhenitistoohot.Ifthebatteryfeelshot,removeitfromthe
computerandallowittocooltoroomtemperature.Afteritcools,reinstallitandrechargethebattery.Ifit
stillcannotbecharged,haveitserviced.
Anacpoweradapterproblem
Problem:Theacpoweradapterisconnectedtothecomputerandtheworkingelectricaloutlet,butthe
poweradapter(powerplug)iconisnotdisplayedonthetaskbar.Alsotheacpowerindicatordoesnot
lightup.
Solution:Dothefollowing:
1.Makesurethattheconnectionoftheacpoweradapteriscorrect.Forinstructionsonconnectingtheac
poweradapter,seeSafety,Warranty,andSetupGuidethatcomeswithyourcomputer.
2.Iftheconnectionoftheacpoweradapteriscorrect,turnoffthecomputer,thendisconnecttheacpower
adapterandremovethemainbattery.
3.Reinstallthebatteryandreconnecttheacpoweradapter,thenturnonthecomputer.
4.Ifthepoweradaptericonstillisnotdisplayedonthetaskbarandtheacpowerindicatordoesnotlight
up,havetheacpoweradapterandyourcomputerserviced.

Ifyourcomputerisgettingnopoweratall,checkthefollowingitems:
1.Verifythepowerbutton.Referto“Systemstatusindicators”onpage9.Thepowerbuttonhislit
wheneverthecomputerison.
2.Checkallpowerconnections.Removeanypowerstripsandsurgeprotectorstoconnecttheacpower
adapterdirectlytotheacpoweroutlet.
3.Inspecttheacpoweradapter.Checkforanyphysicaldamage,andmakesurethatthepowercableis
rmlyattachedtotheadapterbrickandthecomputer.
4.Verifytheacpowersourceisworkingbyattachinganotherdevicetotheoutlet.
5.Removealldevicesandthentestforsystempowerwithminimaldevicesattached.

b.Closethecomputerdisplay,andturnthecomputerover.
