CARE AND MAINTENANCE
Our anodized aluminum clamp delivers a lifetime of wear. However,
from time to time, we recommend placing a drop of lubricant on the
shaft to prevent the stainless steel and aluminum from binding. If you
find that your clamp is not closing as smoothly as it used to, simply
unscrew the knob to fully open the clamp, squeeze the jaws together
with your fingers, and pull back the aluminum tube to expose the
threads. Then blow out any dirt or grit, and place a drop of lubricant
on the shaft and threads.
THREADED HOLE
Spin clamp onto male threaded stud until tight. Use
bushing to convert ¼”-20 stud into ”-16 stud (purchase
and install Stud into female sockets tapped ”-16).
Semi-permanently secure clamp to the stud with non-
permanent threadlocker fluid. Stud, bushing, & single
applications of threadlocker are available on our website.
NON-THREADED HOLE
Drop clamp onto a female tapped socket (tapped either
¼”-20 or M6). Install screw from above, through the
mounting hole and into the ballhead.
ADDITIONAL MOUNTING HOLES
Some of our clamps feature additonal mounting holes for
alternate installations. The two outboard threaded holes
will accept ¼”-20 screws from below or smaller flat head
screws from above.
SIDE LOADING
Turn knob one full rotation to
open clamp for side-loading
your plate.
TOP LOADING
Turn knob 2½-3 full rotations to open clamp
wide enough for top-loading your plate. You
must top-load your plate if the plate has dual
safety stop screws.
LOCKING
Tighten knob firmly, until plate is locked
within clamp.
INSTALLING YOUR CLAMP USING YOUR CLAMP
SPECIAL NOTE FOR B2-DUO CLAMP
