Administrator’s Guide for Polycom HDX Systems
8–10 Polycom, Inc.
To configure the system to use Security Mode:
1 If you are using the HDX system with the Medium, Low, or Minimum
security profile, do one of the following:
In the local interface, go to System > Admin Settings > General
Settings > Security > Security Settings.
In the web interface, go to Admin Settings > General Settings >
Security > Security Settings.
If you use the HDX system with the Maximum or High security profile,
you can change the Security Mode setting only by going through the
setup wizard.
2 Enable Security Mode.
When you change this setting, the Polycom HDX system restarts. Every time a
Polycom HDX system is powered on or restarts in Security Mode, it verifies
that the system software is authentic Polycom software.
To access a Polycom HDX system in Security Mode using the Polycom HDX web
interface:
1 Enter the IP address of the system using secure HTTPS access, for
example,
https://10.11.12.13
.
2 Click Yes in the security dialogs that appear. This access uses port 443.
3 To access Admin Settings using the Polycom HDX web interface when a
Admin Remote Access Password is set, enter the Admin ID as the user
name (default is
admin
).
Security Selections
The default values and ability to change some HDX settings are affected by
which security profile your system uses. The following tables illustrate how
these settings are affected.
