Confirm Workstation Requirements
Confirm that your workstation meets the minimum application requirements.

Notes:
▀ If the minimum requirement is for a 1 GHz
processor, the requirement for a dual-processor
system is 1 GHz for each dual processor.
▀ Not all of the operating systems that are
certified for a client workstation will support
dual processors. Typically, the “Home”
editions are single processor only.
Memory: (min/recommended)
▀ Windows XP: 256MB RAM/512MB RAM
▀ Windows Vista: 512MB RAM/1GB RAM
Hard Drive
1GB free space on hard drive is required for
installation and operation
Display
Adapter and monitor capable of 1024 x 768
display with at least 256 colors.
Network
Ethernet 10Mbit connectivity to LAN, preferably
with adapter teaming to enable failure protection.
Local port 80 will need to be open to allow
communication with the scanner. This port is
normally open, unless you are running a web
server on the same device.
Internet Connectivity
Internet connectivity with TCP/IP enabled.
Broadband connectivity capable of at least
512Kbit upload speed is strongly recommended.
