Using the "T NCR Foaturos
Front Panel Block
Selecting lhis option lets you block (disable) or unblock (enable) the TV/VCR's front panel. The
remote still tunes to any channel. Front Panel Block can:
• Keep children from watching "IV when the parent is not present.
• Keep young children from playing with the buttons.
(When using dlis as a Parental Control method, you should remove access to any remote tllat is
capable of operating dm television while you have tlle front panel blocked.)
Don't forget to lock parental consols alter you change tim status. If you do not, tim front panel
block will not take effect.
To set Front Panel Block:
1. With the TV/VCR on, press and hold tile POWER buuon on the remote for approximately 6
seconds. The indicator in the Power buuon flashes.
The indicator in tlae Power button flashes if the STOP/EJECT or POWER buttons on the
front panel are pushed but nothing will happen.
2. To turn ofl"tlle Front Panel Block, press and hold the POWER buuon for 6 seconds.
Lock/Unlock Parental Controls
Selecting this option lets you lock and unlock parenval controls settings using a
password.
If you do not lock parental controls, none of the settings for v-Chip
Rating Limits or Unrated Programs will take effect.
If you forget your password, simultaneously press STOP/EJECT on the TV/VCR
front panel and MENU on the remote. This resets the password, but not the
limits you've set.
To Lock/Unlock Parental Controls:
1. Press MENU to display the TV/VCRMAINMENK
2. Select Parental Controls (press 4).
3. Select Lock Parental Controls (press 4).
4. Use the number buttons on your remote to enter a four-digit password.
Press CLEAR to make any corrections and MENU to exit.
