Blocking Movie Ratings

If you only want your child to watch movies that have a PG rating and lower (in

other words, movies rated PG and G), dmn you could automatically block out

all other movies with higher ratings.

To block movies:

1. Determine the lowest rating you don't want llle child to watch.

Continuously press 1 until the rating lhat corresponds with the lowest

content you do not want lhe child to watch appears. (In the example

above, you would scroll through lhe ralings until PG-13, since the highest

rating you want llle child to watch is PG.)

3. Press 2 to change the status from View to Block. All higher ratings' status

will automatically change to Block.

4. Press MENU to exit.

Note: If Parental Controls are not locked, you must lock them so the

movie rati_ limits will take effect.

Note: Some movies may be given a Not Rated (NR) rati*_g. After blocki*_g

movie ratings, you must set NR to View separately to view NR movies.

Viewing Movie Ratings

A_r you block movie ratings, you have _e option of changing some of the

rating status buttons back to View:

1. Determine the movie ratings you want to change to View.

2. Continuously press 1 until the rating appears that you want to view.

3. Press 2 to change dm status from Block to View.

For example, if movies wilh a rating of PG-13 and higher are blocked, you can

change dm rating status corresponding wilh NC-17. Your child would then be

able to watch all movies with a G, PG, and NC-17 Rating.

4. Press MENU to exit the screen, and be sure parental controls are locked.

V-Chip Unrated Program Block

Selecting this option lets you decide if programs that _e V-Chip recognizes as

"unrated" can be viewed. Note that "unrated" "IV programs may include news,

sports, political, religious, local and wealher programs, emergency bulletins,

public announcements, and programs widlout ratings.

View All unrated programs are available.

Block All unrated programs are not available.

Note: You must remember to lock Parental Controls fiJr rati*_q limits to

take effect.
