simplechecksandadjustmentslistedforthattrouble.
If serviceshouldbenecessary,thewarrantyinformationlistswhatyourwarranty
coversandexplainshowtogetservice.
No power
Won't record or
playback
• Set the POWER switch to CAMERA or VCR to turn on
the camcorder. The power indicator lights.
• If using battery, it might need to be recharged.
• If using AC adapter/charger, make sure it is plugged
into a working outlet.
No picture
Camcorder turns
itself off
• If using AC adapter/charger, make sure it is plugged
into a working outlet.
• If the dew indicator ( [] ) flashes in the viewfinder, there
is moisture in the camcorder. Wait until the dew
indicator no longer appears before operating the
camcorder.
• Make sure POWER switch is set to correct position for
desired operation.
• There might not be a cassette in the camcorder.
• Try ejecting and reinserting the cassette.
• The cassette tape might be broken, try another cassette.
• You might have reached the end of the cassette, try
rewinding it.
Won't playback • POWER switch must be set to VCR position.
Won't record • Safety tab removed or closed. (See page 22.)
• POWER switch must be set to CAMERA.
• Open lens cover.
Set POWER switch to OFF and then to CAMERA or
VCR to turn back on. If camcorder is left in record-
pause or play-pause for several minutes, it turns off to
prevent tape wear.
