No power
Won't record or
playback
Set the POWER switch to CAMERA or VCR to turn on
the camcorder. The power indicator lights.
If using battery, it might need to be recharged.
If using AC adapter/charger, make sure it is plugged
into a working outlet.
No picture
Camcorder turns
itself off
If using AC adapter/charger, make sure it is plugged
into a working outlet.
If the dew indicator ( [] ) flashes in the viewfinder, there
is moisture in the camcorder. Wait until the dew
indicator no longer appears before operating the
camcorder.
Make sure POWER switch is set to correct position for
desired operation.
There might not be a cassette in the camcorder.
Try ejecting and reinserting the cassette.
The cassette tape might be broken, try another cassette.
You might have reached the end of the cassette, try
rewinding it.
Won't playback POWER switch must be set to VCR position.
Won't record Safety tab removed or closed. (See page 22.)
POWER switch must be set to CAMERA.
Open lens cover.
Set POWER switch to OFF and then to CAMERA or
VCR to turn back on. If camcorder is left in record-
pause or play-pause for several minutes, it turns off to
prevent tape wear.
