Using the DVD’s Menu System
English, Francais, Espanol: The subtitle is displayed with the
selected language if it is recorded on the disc.
Other: Other languages can be selected. Just enter the language
code using the 0-9 numbers. The Language Codes list is at the end
of this chapter.
Automatic: The unit automatically selects the same language in the
Audio option. When the unit selects the same language as the
Audio, the subtitles do not appear during playback. If the selected
language for audio is not recorded on the disc, the subtitle appears.
Off: Subtitles do not appear.
Note: If the selected language is not recorded on the disc, the first-priority
language is selected.
6. Press ENTER to select the desired language for the Subtitle option.
7. Press SETUP•MENU or RETURN to exit menu.
Setting the Language for Audio
1. Press SETUP•MENU on the remote to bring up the menu.
2. Highlight Language feature, if not already highlighted.
3. Press the down arrow or ENTER to select Language.
4. Press the down arrow to selct Audio.
5. Use right arrow and then the down arrow to select the language.
English, Francais, Espanol: The language you have selected plays
if it is recorded on the disc.
Other: Other languages can be selected. Just enter the language
code using the 0-9 numbers. The Language Codes List is at the end
of this chapter.
Original: The unit selects the first priority language of each disc.
Notes: If the selected language is not recorded on the disc, the original
language is heard.
The same audio sound track language can always be selected by your unit
even if you replace the disc or turn the power off.
6. Press ENTER to select the desired language for the Audio option.
7. Press SETUP•MENU or RETURN to exit menu.
